History of the Department
The department started its activity at the time of establishment of the Faculty in 1996. At that time, the Department of Machine Technology and Reliability was formed. Its aim was to provide comprehensive study of the material engineering principles, engineering technology, organization and management of engineering production, as well as the study focused on quality assessment and operational reliability of production technology.
After many organizational changes at the Faculty, which were mainly caused by specialising departments within the framework of ongoing complex accreditations, the Department of Manufacturing Technology and Quality Management was formed in 2014.
Successful accreditation of the study program Integrated Management of Industrial Processes in 2017 was the stimulus for the current change of the department name and organisational structure.
